Hoylake Veterinary Surgery was started in October 2003 by Rob and Della McNulty, in a small shop near to Sainsbury’s in Hoylake on the Wirral.
Our practice grew rapidly and our original facilities became too small prompting the move to our current much larger premises in 2008.
Our Premises – Geneva
Hoylake Vets is now situated in a house called Geneva which was built in 1905 by Mr. Bertram. The original three story building at one point used to be a single residence that was later converted to three separate flats. The premises contain many of its original features such as the windows and columns. Also beneath the main entrance of the building which we raised to make our premises more wheelchair friendly is the original tiled floor.
Throughout the building there are lots of features that show its history, like the old cast iron door knocker that we recently repainted as the original brass covering had worn off and the wooden fireplace in reception.
Since we have moved in we found it necessary to expand once more and have added extra kenneling facilities and a dedicated theatre to allow for better care of patients under anesthesia.

Services
The surgery currently offers a wide range of services such as X-Rays, ECG, Endoscopes, In House Blood tests, Kenneling for patients, Ultrasound and Surgical facilities.
We also have a highly trained staff of dedicated professionals including an anaesthetist and four fully qualified Registered Veterinary Nurses so we can offer your pet a rapid diagnostic and treatment service when you need us most.

Pets
Due to diverse interests among our veterinary staff, we are currently able to offer treatment for Small Animals, Equine and Exotics including rabbits, guinea pigs, lizards, snakes, tortoises, turtles, chinchillas, ferrets and birds.
If your pet is not listed please Contact Us to discuss your requirements.
Our current weird pet award is jointly shared by a one legged axolotl and a skunk!
