Is Your Rabbit Booked In For An Operation eg Neutering?
Here’s a quick guide to help you prepare:
Please arrive at the surgery between 8.30 – 9.00 am.
If you do not attend on time there is a possibility that you may lose your operation slot and may need to rebook.
Please follow these instructions:
*Your rabbit DOES NOT NEED TO BE STARVED. A post anaesthetic complication in rabbits can be that their guts stop functioning properly, so please do not restrict their food.
* Please bring with you some of your rabbit’s favourite food to tempt him/her with after the operation to ensure that their guts begin functioning as soon as possible.
*Water can be left as normal.
*On arrival at the surgery, please ensure your rabbit is in a secure carrier.
*You may need to keep your rabbit indoors in the warm on the night after the operation, so please ensure this is possible.
